Presentation

This institution founded in 1909 has always defended its authtenic recipes. Here, we elevate family gourmandise and its traditions with big hearts, sugar and flair. "We are the fifth generationof Etchebasters," smiles Mathilde, the young manageress behind the counter, with her aunt Nicole. In fact, the people of Saint Jean de Luz are not mistaken. They crowd in and re-live their memories with mouthfuls of Basque cake, the finest in town. In the tea-room area, enjoy brioche buns with orange blossom and hot homemade chocolate. The home of irresistible treats has a name: Etchebaster.
